Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a highly effective treatment modality that teaches us how our thoughts, emotions and behaviors work in synergy to drive adaptive and maladaptive life experiences. It's short- term, symptom-focused, and skills-based.
CBT is structured and goal-oriented. Sessions often build on each other and you can expect (manageable) homework assignments between sessions to practice skills and self-monitor.
